WWWB stands for “World’s Worst Brownies” or “Weed World’s Best” Brownies,
depending on the context. However, in the cannabis community,
WWWB Brownies typically refer to a popular recipe for cannabis-infused brownies.
The original WWWB Brownie recipe is often attributed to the cannabis activist and author, Alice B. Toklas.
The recipe, which appeared in her 1954 cookbook, “The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook,”
included a cannabis-infused ingredient called “haschich.”
Here’s a simplified recipe for WWWB Brownies:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, plus more for greasing
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- Cannabis infusion (e.g., cannabis butter or oil)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease an 8-inch square baking pan with butter and line it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and sugar in a medium saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the cocoa powder until well combined.
- Let the mixture cool slightly, then stir in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Add the flour, salt, and cannabis infusion to the saucepan. Stir until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts (if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely in the pan.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Please note that cannabis-infused baked goods can be potent,
so it’s essential to start with low doses and wait at least 60-90 minutes to assess the effects.
